"Not your Average Couple". A Princess Maker 2 ficlet. Summary: The people of the realm don't have a high opinion of a young woman and the man she chose as her husband... Spoilers for the Dancer Ending and the Cube ending. --- No, they aren't your average young married couple. Ever since they got married, they attracted everyone's attention. She was such a charming, beautiful, and intelligent woman, with such a talent for dancing that people would say she was blessed by the Goddess Venus herself. And yet she rejected all of her suitors, including the Prince himself and a mysterious young man from the Dragon Clan... to marry him. Him, the butler who raised her since early childhood, and had demon blood in his veins. The girl's adoptive father, the mighty Hero of the land, always refused to speak to others about his daughter and son-in-law, never explaining the reasons he had to give his approval to such an unusual union. The females of the country speak in low voices, wondering how come she could favor a mere butler over the Prince of the land. Men also have their questions, thinking that the husband's heritage could be used against them by Lucifon, the Prince of Darkness... But the short, dark-skinned man doesn't care about rumors, and tries not to think about them as he walks his way towards Tobi's dance school, where his young wife instructs the would-be ladies of the kingdom, and later practices her own routines. Yes, she's the main breadwinner of their brand new household, and he's in charge of the house. Another anomaly, people say... He arrives to the place and politely greets Tobi, who is in her way out. She smiles and lets him in, leaving quickly to allow the couple to have some moments on their own there. Then, he enters the school and finds Olive in the dance grounds, talking her dance shoes off. "Sorry I'm late", he tells her, blushing. "It's okay. I myself was kinda caught up with practice", it's her reply. "My new choreographies are HARD!". "You shouldn't stress yourself so much...", he starts. But she giggles and places a finger over his lips. "Now, darling, don't talk to me like I'm a little girl", she tells him sweetly. "I know what I'm doing, and I also have Tobi as my monitor, telling me when I have to stop. Don't worry so much". "But...". No buts. Olive then leans forward, and kisses her husband tenderly. "I'm happy this way, Cube", she says as she breaks the kiss. "Trust me, I'm okay, and so will you be". He then gives in, and smiles just before Olive kisses him on the lips again. No, they aren't your average young married couple... But the deep love they share is all that they need.
